Tanya is a classical dancer who needed some new headshots.

A good actor headshot isn’t about being perfectly polished, it’s about being recognisably you on your best day. In this session we focused on honest expressions, simple backgrounds and clean light so casting directors can immediately see the person in front of the lens, not the photography tricks around them.

For student and emerging actors in Glasgow, a strong headshot is often the first step into professional work, drama school auditions and building a Spotlight profile. It needs to feel natural, current and authentic, something you’ll happily send to agents, casting directors and theatres.

During each shoot, we take time to talk, relax and experiment with different expressions: friendly, still, thoughtful, a hint of mischief – the tiny shifts that tell different casting stories. The aim is that when you scroll through your final gallery, you recognise yourself and think, “Yes… that’s me, and that’s how I want to step into the industry.”
